Rebel Yell

Via Bill

Rand Paul aide has history of neo-Confederate sympathies, inflammatory statements.
Who cares?  He's one of my favorites, by the way.

A close aide to Sen. Rand Paul (R., Ky.) who co-wrote the senator’s 2011 book spent years working as a pro-secessionist radio pundit and neo-Confederate activist, raising questions about whether Paul will be able to transcend the same fringe-figure associations that dogged his father’s political career. (He will handle it just fine as did his good father, moron.)

(First one of theirs that perturbed me.)

  1. Fringe figure associations would better apply to Obama, most journalists, and the Democratic Socialists of America. It does seem that Zinn history has infiltrated the ruling elite and their useful idiots. Just in case the useful idiots in the media are a little slow they need only remember how the NVA hung the VC out to dry so they wouldn't have to deal with them later.

You could not have made a better point or used a better reference, period.

  2. I just read the whole thing and I am even less enthused with Rand Paul and this Jack Hunter has disavowed everything he's ever said. Either both are lying to gain credibility in the mainstream or both are lying to gain credibility outside the mainstream. Either way, they're lying or, to give them the benefit of the doubt, they don't have any principles. The Free Bacon does a good job of pointing out their inconsistencies.

Many not everything which could be true, but I doubt it. As far as his statements on the Late Unpleasantness, I didn't see one that I disagree with.

Hunter told the Free Beacon that he no longer holds many of these views.

      both are lying

      This is all I saw.
“Sen. Paul holds his staff to a standard that includes treating every individual with equal protection and respect, without exception,” said spokesperson Moira Bagley

  3. Rand paul is a non-interventionist, he isn't a non-interventionist, spokesman for Paul says Hunter doesn't speak for the Senator.

Immigration will cause America to cease to be America, now he doesn't think its a serious problem.

Paul will replace this guy by the end of the year because, as Hunter says,"“Not making these certain diplomatic statements or gestures on occasion, also makes taking these ideas into the mainstream much, much harder." His firing will be a "diplomatic gesture" to mainstream GOPers.

    1. & he got zilch for backing down. Nothing wrong with his statement at all.

“The sadistic policies and tactics of Abraham Lincoln destroyed the America of the Founding Fathers,” said Hunter in one track. “And as I gaze at the picture on my wall of my great-grandfather, who fought bravely against that sick bearded bastard, I still dream of what could have been—our glorious Confederate States of America. When the Southern Avenger sees a five-dollar bill, he sees Hitler.”

“The reason we Southerners remember the war is because it does matter—just like slavery, just like the Holocaust,” Hunter added. “The horror our people suffered should never be forgotten.”
