NC: I AM THE SENATOR. YOU ARE THE CITIZEN. YOU NEED TO BE QUIET.

Via Stu

I AM THE SENATOR. YOU ARE THE CITIZEN. YOU SHOULD BE QUIET.

Hopefully you will be but a citizen in 2014.

Rarely has a legislator expressed what he thinks of the public with such eloquence and and brevity as Republican Tommy Tucker, Chairman of the North Carolina Senate's State and Local Government Committee.

So honestly.

So powerfully.

Challenged by a reporter to record a voice vote on a bill that would allow city and county governments to post public notices, traditionally published in newspapers, in the bottom of a locked filing cabinet stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying 'Beware of the Leopard solely on government websites, so that the Committee's members would have to own up to their votes, how did Tucker respond?

  1. Oh how I wish I could vote in that district,I hope this goes around until everyone in the state has this remark etched into their brain. The saddest part is that 95% of them feel the same way regardless of their party. They are all like diapers, full of shit and need to be changed often.

  2. There are times that as a republican you have to vote for a democrat just to get rid of a liberty destroying rino. I would have voted for Donnelly just to get rid of Lugar in the Indiana election but fortunately Lugar lost in the primary. Mourdock would have been a good senator but I am glad that Lugar is finally gone. Door, ass, gone. Now we can work at getting a conservative in place of Donnelly.
