Her Final Taxi Ride

Via  Ninety Miles From Liberty

I drove a taxi for many years and my favorite riders were elderly ladies.

I find myself lost at most times now, in a hurry. Yet I cannot get done with the days chores. I come from a splintered family, and being divorced, I have 3 daughters whom have no contact with me. What has happened to Family?

A crying shame. The America of my youth, has little life left in it.

  2. As Brock knows, I can relate to this episode. The last 3 years have been a rough road! Some of us may have to walk the same path as that described old woman.

  3. Thank-you for this post. I fully concur with that last sentence. I remember a small act of kindness I did once, that was for me, merely doing the "right thing". I was on active duty in Germany, awaiting for my ride to pick me up at the train station. I befriended a female soldier, who was waiting for her train to arrive. I kept her company till it was time for her to board. The last thing I did was to give her a hug. The expression of joy on her face was priceless and with wide smile said "oh wow".
