MARX IN DREADLOCKS: Kwanzaa a Holiday brought to you by the FBI

Via Cousin John

Is it just me, or does Kwanzaa seem to come earlier and earlier each year? And let’s face it, Kwanzaa’s gotten way too commercialized.

A few years ago, I suspended my annual Kwanzaa column because my triumph over this fake holiday seemed complete. The only people still celebrating Kwanzaa were presidential-statement writers and white female public school teachers.

But it seems to be creeping back. A few weeks ago, House Minority Leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., complained about having to stick around Washington for fiscal cliff negotiations by accusing Republicans of not caring about “families” coming together to bond during Kwanzaa. The private schools have picked up this PC nonsense from the public schools. (Soon, no one will know anything.)

It is a fact that Kwanzaa was invented in 1966 by a black radical FBI stooge, Ron Karenga – aka Dr. Maulana Karenga – founder of United Slaves, a violent nationalist rival to the Black Panthers. He was also a dupe of the FBI.

In what was ultimately a foolish gamble, during the madness of the ’60s, the FBI encouraged the most extreme black nationalist organizations in order to discredit and split the left. The more preposterous the group, the better.

By that criterion, Karenga’s United Slaves was perfect. In the annals of the American ’60s, Karenga was the Father Gapon, stooge of the czarist police.

Despite modern perceptions that blend all the black activists of the ’60s, the Black Panthers did not hate whites. They did not seek armed revolution (although some of their most high-profile leaders were drug dealers and murderers). Those were the precepts of Karenga’s United Slaves.

United Slaves were proto-fascists, walking around in dashikis, gunning down Black Panthers and adopting invented “African” names. (That was a big help to the black community: How many boys named “Jamal” are currently in prison?)

It’s as if David Duke invented a holiday called “Anglika,” which he based on the philosophy of “Mein Kampf” – and clueless public school teachers began celebrating the made-up, racist holiday.
Whether Karenga was a willing dupe, or just a dupe, remains unclear.

The Ring Revolver

Via Ninety Miles From Tyranny

Produced in the 1800's, the (probably French made) ring pistol is a perfect example of what was known as “la petite protectors”. The ring pistol once was one of the smallest killing devices ever developed. There doesn’t seem to be much info around regarding the practicality of the finger mounted firearm however, after a long search it appears some believe that: If it were fired, the smoke, flames, and noise would be considerable. The muzzle velocity would probably be so low that the powder burn would be worse than the bullet”

PICK 7

Via CXJ's comment on A warning to gun grabbers

“PICK 7″ is going around the internet. I found out what it means. Those who are determined to stand up for the truth and liberty must “PICK 7″ trusted men/women and develop a plan to stop any gun confiscation attempts.

The Pick 7 team is made up of capable and committed men/women that will fight back and defend their neighborhoods and their families. Eventually they will communicate with other 7 man teams to co-ordinate their efforts.

There is no central command any more then there was in 1776 when a loosely knitted American Militia stood against the tyrants of the Monarch, King George lll. The Red Coats hated these guys and I am quite sure the modern day Feds are not going have any warm and fuzzy feelings for the 1,000,000 Pick 7 Teams.

Brits Petition Government: We Don’t Want Piers Morgan Back

Via Knuckledraggin' My Life Away

Brits have responded to the petition calling on the White House to deport Piers Morgan for his anti-second amendment stance by lodging a petition of their own with UK Home Secretary Theresa May entitled ‘Stop Piers Morgan from being deported back to the UK from America’.

The original petition to deport Morgan for his unconstitutional rhetoric following the Sandy Hook school shooting has now achieved almost 70,000 signatures, well beyond the 25,000 required to mandate a White House response.

However, a counter-petition which features on the change.org website calls on the UK government to prevent Morgan from returning to the UK.

“We got rid of him once and why should we have to suffer again. The Americans wanted him so they should put up with him. We washed our hands of him a long time ago,” the petition reads.

So This Is The Game They Want To Play

VERBATIM

The fight for guns is on. The disarmament of the American population is in the works. While everyone looks for goon squads to roam the neighborhoods looking for these newly illegal weapons, the Marxists in Washington know the road to supremacy does not work that way. There is a whole process involved that begins in the most endearing terms: sympathy. Find a victim, in this case 26 and publicize that victim and provide the answer to such tragedies by moving in a liberty-sacrificing regulation.

This is how Marxism works. The great leader, in this case Barack Obama, espouses a policy, or even a point of view and the propaganda machine kicks into gear to convince all of the serfs to adopt that point of view as if anything else is ridiculous.

It is not so much that they will come with goon squads, they don't need them. The Marxists in Washington have the media to demonize whatever they want to change. They have thousands of useful idiots to do their bidding.

In the latest round the media has decided to publish the names and addresses of gun owners in New York. Okay, that shows that they intend to demonize gun ownership outright, a stupid move, if you ask me, because what they have just done is announce to every crook and murderer in the state where the unarmed people live.

Be that as it may, this is their tactic, this is what they have done every single time to make us swallow one more regulation, one more liberty-stealing scheme.

I don't know how you gun owners in New York intend to handle this vicious attack on your home and family, but you should take it seriously. You should be completely outraged. They are not just intending to regulate something away, they have made you the enemy. How effective that is is up for question, but that they feel comfortable enough to do it, to come after people who have committed no crime, have not sought the spot light and tried to make their personal business public, is beyond the pale. It is Marxist propaganda techniques.

In response, I would like all of you gun-owners in New York to know who they are, their homes and their phone numbers, in case you would like to visit them with a little derision and inconvenience as their homes are protested.

If you don't want to do something like that, I don't know if I would trust you alongside me in the fight for liberty.

Mosin Nagant Rifle Crate Coffee Table

Via comment by Anonymous on Throne of Weapons

I original saw this piece of awesomeness you see below on arfcom. I knew I had to have one. So I got in touch with Bryan at AIM and acquired some mosin crates and Laminate Stock M44s. Thanks Bryan!

Now my photography equipment consisted of an IPHONE 4, so the pics are not as crisp as what you see above. Additionally, this project was a lot more work than I anticipated.

First you start with a basic crate. The wood on the inside is generally in good shape, the wood on the outside; not so much. They move the crates around with forklifts so you can imagine what could go wrong. There are several places that I had to repair with wood putty. I forgot to take pics of that process.

Islam is on the brink of destroying Christianity in the Middle East

Via Carl

Christianity is losing popularity with the spike in Islam across the Middle East. (kharps/iStockphoto)

.........according to a study published by UK-based think tank Civitas on December 23. Rupert Shortt writes that “there is now a serious risk that Christianity will disappear from its biblical heartlands.”
“Christians are targeted more than any other body of believers.”

— Christianophobia By Rupert Shortt
”It is generally accepted that many faith-based groups face discrimination or persecution to some degree,” he said. “A far less widely grasped fact is that Christians are targeted more than any other body of believers.”

Pope Benedict xvi also drew attention to this in his Christmas Eve address. Benedict called on Catholics to pray that “Christians in those lands where our faith was born may be able to continue living there.”

Shortt’s study charts the treatment of Christians in several nations across the Middle East and Asia. While Christian persecution is a problem in all the countries he examined, he concluded that “the lion’s share of their problems arise in Muslim-majority societies.”

He warns that “the early 21st century has seen a steady rise in the strife endured by Christians.” Half to two thirds of all Christians in the Middle East have been killed or forced to leave, he writes. One of the most dramatic drops in number comes from Iraq. In 1990 there were 1.2 to 1.4 million Christians. By the start of the second Gulf war, that number had plummeted to 500,000 fewer. Now there are under 200,000.

Memo to NRA and GOP on Messaging About Guns

Via Peter

Since the leadership of neither the Republican Party nor the National Rifle Association know how to defend their position on guns, we here at Middle American News will show them how. The Republicans especially need this lesson because it will fall on the shoulders of conservative GOP members of Congress to fight the coming legislative assault on the 2nd Amendment right to own firearms. They are the ones who will face denunciations for their positions from the news media.

Sen Diane Feinstein, D-CA, will likely lead the effort with the bill she is introducing to outlaw the sale of semi-automatic rifles that look like military assault rifles. She claims the guns must be banned because they enable killers to murder too many people at once.

Here's how to answer whatever argument she and her media supporters will advance:

In 2010, according to official FBI crime statistics, there were 358 murders committed with rifles of any sort. In that same year, there were 1,704 murders committed with knives, more than four times as many victims. So why are we trying to ban a kind of rifle when knives kill far more people? It is true that a killer with a military-looking weapon can kill far more people than a killer with only a knife. But in the real world, knives kill more people -- more than four times as many! All lives have equal value, whether destroyed by a knife or by a rifle. Since knives are used to kill more people, obviously they are a far more serious threat to life than a military-looking rifle. In fact, it is plainly irrational to target rifles when other weapons are far more dangerous. When making policy, we must be rational, not emotional.

Of course, the news media on its own won't report arguments that embarrass the gun ban advocates. So the statistic about knives and rifles must be voiced consistently, by every gun rights supporter, over and over and over again. No matter what question a journalist asks, the gun rights politician must answer with the statistic about rifles vs. knives. When the reporter asks a different question, the politician must repeat the statistic again. And again. No matter what he is asked, he must work in the statistic until it becomes second nature. It will eventually filter into the public consciousness as long as GOP gun rights supporters (and NRA spokesmen) repeat the same statistic ad infinitum.

The purpose of repeating this statistic is not to "win" the argument. In politics, no one "wins" arguments. Arguments are used to gain influence or reduce others' influence with the public. The purpose of repeating the statistic is to diminish the demonization of semi-automatic rifles in the mind of the public, to provide a factual perspective that robs gun ban advocates of the irrational emotional impact they achieve when denouncing rifles that look like military weapons.

Benghazi penalties are bogus

Via Don

The four officials supposedly out of jobs because of their blunders in the run-up to the deadly Benghazi terror attack remain on the State Department payroll — and will all be back to work soon, The Post has learned.

The highest-ranking official caught up in the scandal, Assistant Secretary of State Eric Boswell, has not “resigned” from government service, as officials said last week. He is just switching desks. And the other three are simply on administrative leave and are expected back.

The four were made out to be sacrificial lambs in the wake of a scathing report issued last week that found that the US compound in Benghazi, Libya, was left vulnerable to attack because of “grossly inadequate” security.

State Department leaders “didn’t come clean about Benghazi and now they’re not coming clean about these staff changes,” a source close to the situation told The Post., adding, the “public would be outraged over this.”

Miracles never cease: A fair article on guns from USA Today!

Adam Lanza's mother was among the tens of millions of U.S. gun owners. She legally had a .223-caliber Bushmaster rifle and a pair of handguns, which her 20-year-old son used to kill 20 children and six adults in 10 minutes inside a Connecticut school.

In the raw aftermath of the second-worst school shooting in U.S. history, countless gun enthusiasts much like Lanza's mother complicate a gun-owning narrative that critics, sometimes simplistically, put at the feet of a powerful lobby and caricatured zealots. More civilians are armed in the U.S. than anywhere else in the world, with Yemen coming in a distant second, according to the independent Small Arms Survey in Geneva.

Take Blake Smith, a mechanical engineer who lives near Houston and uses an AR-15 style rifle in shooting competitions.

Texas Gov. Rick Perry, who famously claimed to have shot a coyote while jogging with a pistol holstered to his running shorts, has signed a half-dozen certificates applauding Smith as one of the state's top marksmen. "But I won't call myself a fanatic," said Smith, 54, whose father first let him handle a gun around age 6.

California Elementary School Named in Honor of Murderer

Via Cousin John

An elementary school has been named after an infamous murderer believed to be one of the first gangsters in California – infuriating some parents and law enforcement officers.

The Alisal Union School District in Salinas agreed to name the new school in honor of Tiburcio Vasquez – who was eventually hanged for killing at least two people in the nineteenth century.

Superintendent John Ramirez defended the board’s decision telling Fox News that one man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter.

“Tiburcio Vasquez, along with others, was an individual who was a revolutionary,” Ramierz said. “He was not okay with the oppression.”

Vasquez “was probably the most notorious bandit California ever saw,” according to the University of Southern California library. He was 14-years-old when he committed his first crime – stabbing a constable.

In 1875 Vasquez was convicted of two murders and subsequently hanged. Other historical records indicate he may have killed as many as six people – including a law enforcement officer.

GOD willing and the Creek don't rise

Via Tim Manning

Makes sense, though I had never heard it explained this way.  My mother would use Lord instead of God.
Did you know the saying "GOD willing and the Creek don't rise" was in reference to the Creek Indians and not a body of water? It was written by Benjamin Hawkins in the late 18th century. He was a politician and Indian diplomat. While in the south, Hawkins was requested by the President of the U.S. to return to Washington. In his response, he was said to write, "GOD willing and the Creek don't rise." Because he capitalized the word "Creek" it is deduced that he was referring to the Creek Indian tribe and not a body of water.
