Joe Biden, John Kerry’s Yacht, $10,000 Meals, and the Party of ‘Average Folks’

Godfather Politics
VERBATIM POST

You’ve got to hand it to the Democrats. They can sound so righteous when they’ve just paid $10,000 to fund the Democrat political machine. At a Democrat fundraiser that cost couples $10,000, Vice President spoke to 87 wealthy Democrats at the home of Sen. .

Remember that Democrats are for the little guy, average folks who are struggling to make ends meet. If I were holding such a dinner, it wouldn’t be at one of John Kerry’s homes. He’s the poster child for the one percent and a hypocrite to boot:

He is docking his family’s new $7 million yacht in Rhode Island, not Massachusetts, so he can save $500,000 in Bay State taxes. If the boat were docked at his summer vacation home on Nantucket, he would have to fork over $437,000 in a one-time sales tax and $70,000 in annual excise taxes.

Kerry married Teresa Heinz, the widow of Pennsylvania Senator H. John Heinz III, a Republican from Pennsylvania who died when a helicopter collided with his plane in 1991. As far back as 2004, the Los Angeles Times put Teresa Heinz’s wealth at between $900 million and $3.2 billion. Even without his wife’s inherited money, Kerry is wealthy in his own name, being the beneficiary of at least four trusts inherited from Forbes family members, including his mother, who died in 2002. Kerry is the wealthiest U.S. Senator. In 2006, his own wealth was estimated at $267,789,805.

Like all political hypocrites, Kerry lives far above the people in wealth and status. He dictates austerity to everyone else, but maintains a standard of living that far exceeds 99.9 percent of all the people in the world.

Now back to Vice President Biden. While dining on “grass-fed New York strip steaks and white truffle mashed potatoes underneath a outdoor tent, Biden criticized Republicans for being out of touch.”

“These guys don’t have a sense of the average folks out there. They don’t know what it means to be middle class.”

And John Kerry and the other 87 people who attended the dinner do? If gets the nomination, watch how the Democrats and the media will pounce on him for his wealth but won’t say a thing about the blatant hypocrisy of the Democrats. John Kerry has never spent five minutes with someone from the middle class unless it was with the crew that washes his yacht.

Two Years

The issue for me is simply this: I don't want to re-write the Constitution, or go to war with the powers that be, or move to another country, or take a county in Wyoming and make it ours and push out from there. I don't want to do anything. I want to work, make money, send my kids to college and die on my father's place. Between now and then I would like to walk the ground my Great Grandfather's Great Grandfather walked in Kentucky.

It doesn't seem like so much to ask for, unless you expect the freedom that will allow all of that.

Only Ron Paul & perhaps Walter Jones have standing to criticize Obama’s abuses of power

Lenin would recognize in value of Holder’s sophistical distinction between “due process” and “judicial process” an effort to abolish any remaining legal limits on the lethal power of the State, as incarnated in the Dear Leader. He would admire the audacity displayed by the Obama administration (as well as its predecessor) in asserting the unlimited power of the executive to kill, torture, and imprison people at whim. He would covet the instruments of mass annihilation wielded by the executive branch, and its equally destructive apparatus of mass indoctrination. And he might even spare a moment of incredulous pity for a population that is ruled by such a system while clinging to the illusion of freedom.

Let’s go to the Hajj!

While I was in London last week, Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff and I went with a group of people to see “Hajj: journey to the heart of Islam”, a feature exhibit that runs until April 15 at the British Museum.

Despite paying £12 to see the Hajj material, we discovered that visitors were not allowed to take photographs. I was sure the museum’s website would have more, but when I got home and took a look, there wasn’t much available.

And, truth be told, there wasn’t really that much to the exhibit. The sitara — the curtain for the door of the Ka’aba, on loan from King Abdul Aziz Public Library in Saudi Arabia — was the prize artifact, and it was impressive indeed. There were numerous other beautiful objects on display, plus a lot of calligraphy, descriptive texts, photos, drawings, engravings, etc.

We saw plenty of images of devotees circling the black cube (counterclockwise) or kneeling to pray, but no contemporaneous materials from the 7th or 8th century. There was no ground plan from the original Mecca as determined by archaeological excavation, nor any artifacts dug up at the site. There’s good reason for that, of course, since no archaeological activity is allowed at any of Islam’s holy sites.

This makes the Hajj exhibit a rather paltry affair in comparison with, say, the magnificent Egyptian and Assyrian galleries at the British Museum. It’s all hype and puffery and public relations, an expensive and elaborate sales campaign bankrolled by the Saudis and designed to supplant the beating heart of Western culture with the austere emptiness of Islam.

Or, as Elisabeth said when we walked through the door, “This is da’wa!”

I asked her to write her impressions of the exhibit, and this is what she had to say:

It is not usually my style to spend a whopping twelve pounds Sterling of my hard-earned money in order to visit the British Museum’s special exhibition on the Hajj, especially in view of the fact that my knowledge exceeds that of most non-Muslims (I actually venture to say that I know more than most Muslims). The reason I decided to enter the tomb that represents Islam is simply to see what the exhibition organizers were able to make out of nothing.
For example, how can one claim to show the history behind the Hajj when there is no historical evidence of Islam on the Arabian peninsula? And so there was very little to show about the Hajj except copies of the Koran, hajjis’ reports about the Hajj, intricately stitched prayer carpets, and movies about the experiences of those who completed the Hajj. As expected, it wasn’t much, because there isn’t much.

What I did notice, however, was not only the high number of non-Muslims who walked through the exhibition, but also the many school classes. Most of them were made up of very young children, many of whom were eight- or nine-year-old girls in hijab.

Looking at them, I felt my heart ache. No one can tell me that these girls willingly donned the hijab and the long dresses when they entered school. What galls me even more is that by covering up, these girls are being sexualized, for this is what the hijab tells us, the non-Muslims: “Do not touch these girls, they belong to us. They are our property.” As soon as a girl reaches puberty — which according to Islamic tradition is when Mohammed married Aisha and consummated the marriage — she is seen as marriageable.

As I wandered through the exhibition, I had the sensation of walking through a tomb that is called Islam. Everything exuded gloominess, as gloomy as the faces of many devout Muslims walking in the streets.

One can imagine how refreshed I felt upon returning to the — as yet — non-Muslim world, to the sunshine, to relative freedom.

Organized national armies are useful primarily for fighting against other organized national armies. When they try to fight against the people, they find themselves at a very serious disadvantage... Irregulars usually defeat regulars.
--Jeff Cooper

War, after all, is about competing purposes, competing causes, competing ideals—produced by polities, defined by policymakers, put into action by military professionals, and fought for by average soldiers. War itself does not care about the relative merits of those ideals, but the outcome of war, and therefore the outcome of combat, determines which ideal wins. The outcome of war determines which cause gets to survive, thrive, and guide the lives of people in peace, and just as importantly, which cause does not get to shape the peace. Most vitally, war decides which ideal gets to be fought for again. War is regrettably a part of the human condition, and it is many awful things, but it is never meaningless.

Three Ways To Cope with the Coming Plague of Obama Bumper Stickers

Dear Belladonna Rogers,

I’m a 77-year-old conservative grandmother living, for family reasons, in a very blue state. It’s only March and already the Obama 2012 bumper stickers are everywhere. The parking lots are filled with them. They’re irksome, especially when combined on the same bumper, with the 2008 version. It appears that the driver has learned exactly nothing in the past four years.

Is there anything I can do that will avoid direct confrontation, won’t get me in trouble with the law, but that will satisfy my urge to communicate my disagreement with the Obama-supporting owners of these cars?

Frustrated Near ‘Frisco

Dear Frustrated,

Yes, yes, and yes!

Placing an anti-Obama bumper sticker on top of a pro-Obama bumper sticker is tampering with property, also known as criminal mischief. This can be a felony or a misdemeanor. You don’t want to go there, tempting as it certainly is.

What you may do that’s perfectly legal is what many pizza chains and other businesses do in parking lots: gently lift the windshield wiper and place a written message to the driver where he or she cannot avoid seeing it.

I have three suggestions:

A POLITE PIECE OF YOUR MIND

It’s devilishly simple.

You type two sentences and print out as many as you like. Keep them in your car at all times. Here’s a little inspiration:

Dear Friend:

Some unknown socialist put an Obama bumper sticker on your car. I’m letting you know so that you can remove it before it causes you any further embarrassment.

That’s it. Simple, friendly, concerned, considerate. What’s not to like?

It’s also guaranteed to be very annoying.

BUY ANTI-OBAMA BUMPER STICKERS AND PLACE THEM UNDER THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS OF THE PRO-OBAMA CAR

Happily, your choices are many and, while not inexpensive, if some of your like-minded friends chip in, it might be worthwhile to spend some money for such upbeat messages as:

Rawls and the MOC

Via Carl

There have been some excellent letters written to Director Rawls about what flags to fly. Mark Vogl's was one of them. Mark wisely wrote, "Sir, the Confederate naval ensign is a globally recognized symbol of the South. The value of its public relations presence is immeasurable." Marks observation is extremely practical in inarguable. The rest of his letter was just as excellent.

The Museum of the Confederacy is about a country that only existed during a time of warfare. The United States never recognized the national government of the Confederate States of America (CSA) or the national flags of the CSA. The flags they saw were the flags of the Confederate armies. It seems rather schizophrenic that a museum of the Confederacy does not seek to promote these flags or seek the counsel of the living sons and daughters of actual Confederate veterans.

Rawls has had a long and antagonistic relationship with the sons and grandsons of Confederate veterans as well as the organization known as The Sons of Confederate Veterans, and this dysfunctional relationship is not likely to improve. There is no compromise that we can make that will satisfy those who hate us and do not believe in the Cause for which our ancestors sacrificed their homes, their wealth and their lives.

A few years ago the SCV Virginia Division's Executive Council invited Rawls to meet with them and discuss the MOC. Rawls used profane language with us and showed us no respect. As a man he lacks the integrity, dignity and insight that is expected from a man in his position. It is clear that he does not respect in any manner the descendants of Confederate Veterans. He is not the first MOC director who has shown us this sucky attitude. I do not believe this condition is likely to improve or change in today's Marxist culture.

THE ANSWER IS for each SCV Division to have its own organizational office in EACH Confederate State, and have that office physically associated and connected to a Confederate Museum depicting the the history of the CSA and the war as it was fought in and as it affected that particular State. Without this we must just sit back and learn new ways to whine like of our reconstructed condition would indicate.

We must gain control of our cultural and political destiny and the opportunities that are still open to us. We must stop whining about what others say about us and do to us. To achieve this demands our serious and substantial commitment and funding by our national SCV organization and each SCV State Division. How about it? As THE descendants of our Confederacy we do not have to tolerate having yankee's, their carpetbagger agents and our own reconstructed scallywags controlling such matters as important as how the CSA will be represented and remembered in our own States ! We need some major big money to step forward in EACH State to get this project moving forward !

Always for true freedom and liberty.

In the Future, Socialism Will Advance Through "Insurance"

I forget who said that. I think it's insightful and correct.

There are two functions of real insurance: hedging against a risk and risk-sharing for those risks we choose to share.

One in ten thousand people might suffer rectal cancer. It probably makes sense for most people, on a voluntary basis, to decide (voluntarily) to pay in a little money for insurance so that if they suffer such a catastrophic and expensive illness, they'll be covered.

If they're one of the lucky ones -- well, they're out a little bit of money, but they are one of the lucky ones.

Insurance makes sense in this situation, for most people, as most people would like to reduce the impact of serious risks that strike like lightning. They are unpredictable, and when they hit, they require major changes in lifestyle. Most people -- especially with children, who must be planned for whether their parents are sick or healthy, alive for dead -- are willing to pay a little into an insurance pool to manage this risk.

On the other hand there are things which are not risks: Cost of housing. Food costs. Voluntary contraception costs. These are not risks, as the "odds" such costs will be incurred is 100%, and hence cannot be "insured" against.

Double-barrel pistol reinvents the meaning of double tapping

Via Robert

Don't cry to us when the Mayan Apocalypse comes with a horde of brain-dead zombies because we'll just shake our heads at you for not stocking up on Arsenal Firearms' double barrel handgun that fires two bullets with every trigger pull.

More commonly referred to as the AF2011-AF Double Barrel Pistol or "Twenty Eleven" or "Second Century," the gun is special because it's the first semi-automatic pistol that fires two bullets at once. Its body is intrinsically that of a Colt 1911-A1 with twin .45 caliber barrels that can carry eight bullets in each.

In layman's terms, that means, it'll effectively kill zombies dead without requiring constant reloading. Two bullets to the head on one shot should keep a zombie down for good.

The stopping power of the AF2011-A1 is tremendous: 2 bullets for a total of 460 Grains weight impacting at 1 to 2 inches apart (depending on the distance of the target) will knock down a bull, while the whole 18 bullets, for a payload exceeding 4000 Grains, can be delivered to the target in about 3 seconds.

Paul nets first win, but not in delegates Virgin Islands, Wyoming tallies disproportional

Something is rotten in Denmark

Speaking to reporters in Missouri this weekend, Mr. Paul struggled for an explanation.

“Sometimes we get thousands of people like this, and we’ll take them to the polling booth, and we won’t win the caucuses,” he said. “A lot of our supporters are very suspicious about it.”

He said he doesn’t have proof of actual fraud, but said it’s a possible explanation.

“It’s that kind of stuff that makes you suspicious, because quite frankly, I don’t think the other candidates are getting crowds like this,” he said.

********

Rep. Ron Paul won his first victory of the Republican primary season over the weekend, but fell short in several tests of his delegate-hoarding strategy, and the candidate himself hinted to reporters that he is “suspicious” of fraud in some of the vote-counting.

The Texas congressman won the popular vote in the U.S. Virgin Islands, nipping former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and notching his first win. But Mr. Romney bested him in the delegate count, 7-to-1, according to the local GOP.

And in Wyoming, Mr. Paul had won 21 percent of the vote among caucus-goers last month, but on Saturday, when the delegates elected at those caucuses met to divide up the final tally of delegates to the national convention, Mr. Paul’s team walked way with just one of the 12 slots available.

Gun Sales In America Soar ... AGAIN

The very possible reelection of Barrack Obama for another four years as President of the United States is frightening the living daylights out of Americans. So, they are buying up guns and ammunition at yet another record rate just as they did in 2008. There are already shortages of weapons and ammo in parts of the country.

As folks have observed the Republican primaries, watched the debates, and considered the polls, they are becoming more and more convinced that not only will the republican candidate for President lose, but he will lose big.

Added to that fear is yet another -- that Obama, with another four years and no worries about having to stand for reelection, will toss the Second Amendment out on its ear. His disregard for the US Constitution has become something of legend here in America's southland.

The fear that with a second term of Obama, the country will quickly sink into total anarchy is driving Americans to seek some kind of security and protection for themselves and for their families.

The possibility that Obama will ignore the Second Amendment is not as ridiculous as it might sound at first. By now, Americans have witnessed Obama's abuse of the power of the Executive Order. It is a powerful tool in the hands of any President. But, in the hands of a socialist president, it can be an offensive weapon to strike deep into the heart of American freedom. THAT is why so many Americans no longer feel protected by the US Constitution.

There is more than one way to skin a cat, as the old saying goes. Obama knows that. He has proven to be adept at going around a Congress that would stymie his unconstitutional efforts. He has created "Czars" and agencies and loaded other government committees and boards with "fellow travelers" who will do his bidding.

In that portion of America where people still cling to their God and their guns, notice has been taken of Obama's methods. It did not go unnoticed that he, more often then not, gets his way even when the people's congress defies him.

An Administration Gone Rogue

Have certain parts of the Constitution become irrelevant, as a former Republican leader once told me at a Foreign Affairs Committee hearing? At the time, I was told that demanding a congressional declaration of war before invading Iraq, as Article I Section 8 of the Constitution requires, was unnecessary and anachronistic. Congress and the president then proceeded without a constitutional declaration and the disastrous Iraq invasion was the result.

Last week, Obama administration officials made it clear that even the fig leaf of congressional participation provided by the 2003 "authorization" to use force in Iraq was to be ignored as well. In a hearing before the Senate Armed Services Committee, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta stated clearly and repeatedly that the administration felt it was legally justified to use military force against Syria solely with "international permission." Such "international permission" could come by way of the United Nations, NATO, or some other international body. Secretary Panetta then told Senator Sessions that depending on the situation, the administration would consider informing Congress of its decision and might even seek authorization after the fact.

While Senator Sessions expressed surprise at the casual audacity of Panetta in making this statement, in reality his was just a bluntly stated explanation of what has been, de facto, the case for many years.

LAWLEY, WILLIAM R., JR.
(Air Mission)
Rank and organization: First Lieutenant, U.S. Army Air Corps, 364th Bomber Squadron, 305th Bomber Group. Place and date: Over Europe, 20 February 1944. Entered service at: Birmingham, Ala. Born: 23 August 1920, Leeds, Ala. G.O. No.: 64, 8 August 1944.

Citation:

For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action above and beyond the call of duty, 20 February 1944, while serving as pilot of a B-17 aircraft on a heavy bombardment mission over enemy-occupied continental Europe. Coming off the target he was attacked by approximately 20 enemy fighters, shot out of formation, and his plane severely crippled. Eight crewmembers were wounded, the copilot was killed by a 20-mm. shell. One engine was on fire, the controls shot away, and 1st Lt. Lawley seriously and painfully wounded about the face. Forcing the copilot's body off the controls, he brought the plane out of a steep dive, flying with his left hand only. Blood covered the instruments and windshield and visibility was impossible. With a full bomb load the plane was difficult to maneuver and bombs could not be released because the racks were frozen. After the order to bail out had been given, 1 of the waist gunners informed the pilot that 2 crewmembers were so severely wounded that it would be impossible for them to bail out. With the fire in the engine spreading, the danger of an explosion was imminent. Because of the helpless condition of his wounded crewmembers 1st Lt. Lawley elected to remain with the ship and bring them to safety if it was humanly possible, giving the other crewmembers the option of bailing out. Enemy fighters again attacked but by using masterful evasive action he managed to lose them. One engine again caught on fire and was extinguished by skillful flying. 1st Lt. Lawley remained at his post, refusing first aid until he collapsed from sheer exhaustion caused by loss of blood, shock, and the energy he had expended in keeping control of his plane. He was revived by the bombardier and again took over the controls. Coming over the English coast 1 engine ran out of gasoline and had to be feathered. Another engine started to burn and continued to do so until a successful crash landing was made on a small fighter base. Through his heroism and exceptional flying skill, 1st Lt. Lawley rendered outstanding distinguished and valorous service to our Nation.

The big hoax

There have been many frauds of historic proportions -- for example, the financial pyramid scheme for which Charles Ponzi was sent to prison in the 1920s, and for which Franklin D. Roosevelt was praised in the 1930s, when he called it Social Security. In our own times, Bernie Madoff's hoax has made headlines.

But the biggest hoax of the past two generations is still going strong -- namely, the hoax that statistical differences in outcomes for different groups are due to the way other people treat those groups.

The latest example of this hoax is the joint crusade of the Department of Education and the Department of Justice against schools that discipline black males more often than other students. According to Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, this disparity in punishment violates the "promise" of "equity."

Just who made this promise remains unclear, and why equity should mean equal outcomes despite differences in behavior is even more unclear. This crusade by Attorney General Eric Holder and Secretary of Education Arne Duncan is only the latest in a long line of fraudulent arguments based on statistics.

If black males get punished more often than Asian American females, does that mean that it is somebody else's fault? That it is impossible that black males are behaving differently from Asian American females? Nobody in his right mind believes that. But that is the unspoken premise, without which the punishment statistics prove nothing about "equity."

Two Reciprocity Bills: A Strong Bill verses a Compromise

Great news!

Pro-gun Senate champions John Thune (R-SD) and David Vitter (R-LA) have decided to stand their ground on their concealed carry reciprocity legislation, despite pressure from gun rights compromisers to weaken the bill.

Specifically, Senators Thune and Vitter are sticking with their version of the bill, which recognizes the right to carry concealed by residents of “Vermont-style” and “Constitutional Carry” states.

Such states do not require residents to obtain the government’s permission before carrying a firearm for self-protection. There are currently 17 states that have either enacted legislation in the past or have introduced “Constitutional Carry” laws in their legislatures this year.

Current law:
Vermont
Alaska
Arizona
Montana
Wyoming

Considering legislation:
Colorado
Georgia
Iowa
Kentucky
Maine
New Hampshire
Ohio
Oklahoma
Rhode Island
South Carolina
South Dakota (on governor’s desk)
Virginia

More states are being added to the list all the time. The Thune-Vitter legislation will fully recognize gun owners’ rights in these states.

A competing bill, however, pulls the rug out from under “Constitutional Carry.” Sponsored by Senators Mark Begich (D-AK) and Joe Manchin (D-WV), the compromise bill still requires a government permit for reciprocity, regardless of state law.

So while the states are moving in the direction of more freedom, the Begich and Manchin bill would keep even the most pro-gun states tied to a permitting system. Why are they doing this? After all, criminals don’t get in line at the police station to get a permit. It’s the law-abiding gun owners who go through the process of proving their innocence before being “allowed” to carry a firearm.

We have a message for Begich and Manchin: gun ownership is a right, not a privilege.

It is vitally important that your two Senators hear from you right away. Urge them NOT to support the compromise bill, and instead support the pro-gun legislation offered by Senators Thune and Vitter.

ACTION: Contact your Senators. Insist that they cosponsor the strong pro-gun Thune-Vitter reciprocity bill, which protects Constitutional Carry, and urge them not to support the Begich-Manchin compromise.

Automating Terrorism

Global guerrillas is one of the few places in the world where you will find deep thinking on the theoretical foundations of warfare.

It's my belief that warfare, aka organized violence, is undergoing punctuated change due to robotics/drones and other technologies of superempowerment. That's not a good thing since I believe that warfare defines the path of development for everything else (economics, politics, culture). It makes certain paths forward possible, and closes others. A rapid change in warfare means a rapid change in everything else.

Here's a tiny example of that change in action.

Historic Plantations Hit South Carolina Market In Tough Economy

Via Kimberly

"Lord, please send me a rich Yankee"

The privately owned historic plantations that dot South Carolina's low country don't switch hands often, but a tough economy and generational changes in family ownership have resulted in a crowded market for the rare properties.

Finding buyers for the elite, antebellum plantations that once grew the indigo, rice and cotton that made South Carolina rich can prove quite the challenge.

Asking prices range from just over $3 million to $20 million for plantations of 350 acres to as many as 7,000 acres. Costly maintenance ups the financial pressure for any potential owner.

A plantation "is not for everybody," Charleston real estate broker Helen Geer said. "These places are very, very expensive to take care of, and people are cash-strapped right now."

At least eight plantations currently are for sale. They can be found at the end of gated, long dirt roads overhung by grand, centuries-old live oaks draped in Spanish moss.

Rural neighbors sometimes don't know the places exist, but they are heavy with history from colonial times through the Civil War.

The properties include Seabrook, a former sea island cotton plantation on Edisto Island with a house built in 1810 that once hosted General Lafayette. He attended a family christening and gave his name to the child, Carolina Lafayette Seabrook, whose portrait still hangs in the home.

THE NATHAN BEDFORD FORREST BUST HAS BEEN STOLEN

Via Billy

DEAR FRIENDS OF FORREST:

It is with the heaviest of heart that I have to report to you that today , March 12, 2012 at approximately 2:00 PM it was discovered that the life- size bronze bust of General Nathan Bedford Forrest has been stolen from the 5 1/2 ton granite pedestal monument in Live Oak Cemetery in Selma Alabama.

A HISTORICAL REVIEW AND UPDATE:

Selma's first black mayor, hostile & militant toward whites, James Perkins aligned himself with Selma's local domestic terrorist, Rose Sanders, wife of Alabama State Senator, Hank Sanders...and coerced the Selma City Council to vote to move the Nathan Bedford Forrest monument from its historically accurate & appropriate location, the Smitherman Building Museum. The Smitherman Building Museum had been a field hospital during the War of Northern Aggression i.e. The War Against Southern Independence! Prior to its removal to Live Oak cemetery, for weeks after the dedication on Oct 7, 2000 Rose Sanders and her foot soldiers launched attacks on the monument almost on a daily basis by putting black garbage bags over the bust of General Forrest, by putting flyers on the monument depicting Gen Forrest as the founder of the KKK & accusing him of murdering blacks at Fort Pillow..also, by leading the entire entourage of students & black citizens commemorating MLK Day in Jan 2001 to the monument and throwing a rope around the neck of General Forrest in an attempt to pull the monument over while appealing to anyone with a pickup truck to come & they would be successful in pulling the monument over.

Also, one evening three full garbage bags were dumped over the monument, no only just littering the grounds of the Smitherman Building Museum but desecrating the monument. We and the Selma police sifted through the garbage to discover 3 pieces of mail addressed to Rose Sanders' lawfirm...through ALL of this...NOTHING WAS DONE TO ROSE SANDERS...NOT even a litter fine!!!! The police were on the grounds when Rose & her foot soldiers threw the rope around his neck & threatened to pull it over and NOTHING WAS DONE!!!!! All of this was reported in the papers along with pictures of her doing this and NOTHING WAS DONE!!!!

On February 26, 2001 the Selma City Council voted 5-4 to move the monument to Live Oak Cemetery just a few blocks from the Smitherman Building Museum. The footing was dug the next day, Feb 27 IN THE RAIN...the foundation was poured and on Wed. Feb 28, 2001 the monument was moved by some jack leg wrecker company called the Deep South Wrecker Company....NOT AN EXPERIENCED MONUMENT COMPANY! The monument was set with the direction of the all knowing city council and the militant black mayor, James Perkins who owed a political debt to Rose Sanders for getting him elected mayor after two previous unsuccessful campaigns against the long time Selma Mayor Joe T. Smitherman! For those of you who have visited the General in Live Oak Cemetery, that will explain to you WHY the monument is facing EAST and NOT NORTH as ALL Confederate Monuments are supposed to be placed!

On May 17, 2001 the Friends of Forrest, Inc. filed a federal lawsuit against the City of Selma for discrimination. Judge Brevard Hand was the Judge for the Southern Federal District. He heard oral argument on June 25, 2001 and allowed the case to go forward on its merit and did NOT rule it a frivolous case. The City of Selma hired the scalawag WHITE lawfirm of Gamble, Gamble, and Calame... with Valerie Chittom as an attorney employed by this firm. She was the lead attorney for the city. Mayor Perkins at the beginning of his term established a FULL TIME ATTORNEY WITH AN OFFICE IN CITY HALL, APPOINTING BLACK ATTORNEY JIMMY NUNN with an annual salary in the $50,000 range!!!! So, we wondered, WHY DID MAYOR PERKINS HIRE THE WHITE SCALAWAG LAWFIRM when he had a full time black city attorney! Mayor Smitherman did not hire a full time attorney for the City of Selma...he retained an attorney for times an attorney was needed. Ultimately, almost four years later and hundreds of motions filed by the enemy scalawag lawfirm, costing the city of Selma more than $200,000 the dying Judge Brevard Han (dying with cancer & was hospitalized &on high powered pain medication for most of the summer of 2003) dismissed our case...even after having set the trial date for Jan 12 2004!!!!!!! By the way, Judge Hand died a few years ago. In the ever resounding words of Mrs. Robert E. Lee, "If there is a cool spot in hell, I hope he has it."

Now, it is 2012...during all these years NOTHING has been done against the monument since its "temporary exile" into Live Oak Cemetery at Confederate Circle. I say, "temporary" because we have been busy trying to raise funds to buy a private lot in Selma to develop the Nathan Bedford Forrest Park & move the monument onto privately owned property! We cancelled our appeal and decided not to pay any more money to useless lawyers to fight this "reconstruction city government" of the city of Selma. We learned in the classic form there is "no honor among thieves"!!! The Selma City Council is made up of nine members...8 councilmen and the president....the vote went down with 4 blacks and ONE white woman against us...and 4 members for us...two white men and two black men. These two black men were the honorable ones and lived up to their word and convictions that they did the right thing.

Since then, I have learned that both of those black city councilmen who voted to keep the monument at the Smitherman Building Museum received numerous death threats. Ultimately, neither of them ran for re-election in the next campaign season, but four more years later, Mr. Benny Tucker has since been re-elected. It was the one white woman, Jean Martin, the council president George Evans and councilwoman Nancy Sewell who betrayed us. Selma had the opportunity to tell Rose Sanders to SIT DOWN AND SHUT UP...but they chose to fight the Friends of Forrest and deny Selma her history, heritage and the opportunity to enhance our tourism income and showcase ALL of Selma's history and show some of that "TOLERANCE" that we seemed to have pushed down our throat on daily basis for EVERY CULTURE ON THE PLANET except for the Anglo-Celtic culture...which is constantly and continuously vilified, mocked and ridiculed every day the sun rises!!!!

A few weeks ago, prior to the annual Bridge Crossing Jubilee scheduled for Mar 2-5 (the commemoration of the Mother of all orgies) I was notifed that Rose Sanders had issued an appeal over her radio talk show at her radio station 105.3 ( we call it HATE 105) for people to join her to go into the cemetery & remove General Forrest. The Bridge Crossing Jubilee began on Thurs evening Mar 1 at 6:00 PM with a reception at the St. James Hotel...then a 7:00 PM service at Tabernacle Baptist Church. Then on Friday, Mar 2 they officially kicked off the Jubilee with vendors & rap music on Water Avenue...usually lasting until Sunday when they have the commemorative "walk across the bridge to freedom" ...but this year your taxdollars were really put to work for EIGHT DAYS...beginning on Monday morning, March 5 they ...about 100-125 folks walked 10 miles per day for the next 5 days to Montgomery - blocking BOTH LANES OF TRAFFIC...bringing traffic to a complete halt...I know first hand because I got caught up in it on Thurs Mar 8 trying to get to Prattville - ordinarily it takes me about 45 minutes - this day it took 1 1/2 hours!!!! .

The annual street party requires county, city and state police working overtime...and by the way, general services really have their work cut out for them too cleaning up the city streets of Selma after these food vendors dump trash & grease into the street!!! Since we were alerted about Rose's radio appeal, we checked on the General all during the course of the weekend going into the cemetery after dark to make sure he was OK. Then, On Wed Mar 7 my husband was listening to Rose's talk radio show & heard her issue the same appeal. We were out of town on Thurs Mar 8, Fri Mar9 & Sat Mar 10 & did not go into town yesterday...so the bust was taken sometime between Fri night and 2:00 PM today when it was discovered missing.

Oh, and by the way, two weeks ago Butch & I were driving through White Hall, Ala...approx 9 miles from our farm, and the Southern Star Casino was all lit up on the outside. Butch & I said...Hummm, somebody must know something we don't about this trial...then last week ALL were acquitted in the gambling trial. Ironically, on Friday Mar 9 the marquis was flashing: ELECTRONIC BINGO - OPENING TODAY AT 4:00. So, the trial is over - ALL were acquitted - the 1901 Constitution remains the same - the Ala State Supreme Court ruling remains the same - but as soon as the trial was over & ALL were found innocent, the gambling casino in White Hall, Alabama opened on the last day of the annual commemoration of the "mother of all orgies" culminating in Montgomery at the State Capitol with a few hundred folks screaming to repeal Alabama's Immigration Bill - the Southern Star Gambling Casino is right across the highway (U.S. Hwy 80 ) from the White Hall Civil Rights Interpretive Center i.e. THE ORGY TEMPLE/HATE THE WHITE MAN CENTER!!!!

Move over "Land of Lincoln - Illinois - Alabama's gonna steal ya thunder in corruption yet!

As our case unfolds here in Selma regarding General Forrest..I will keep you posted. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. Thank you ALL for ALL your faithful support during all these years - building the monument - defending the monument - protecting the monument - and for all the wonderful friends we have made during these years.

Once again it is a sobbering reality there is NO justice for white folks anymore and the Constitution died at Appomattox 1865. Thanks to the Lincoln government, national education and communist media AmeriKans have been misled by the illusion of a "theoretical document" ...and as President Davis said, "Lincoln rolled the Constitution up and put it on a shelf." I am as President Davis...one without a country....that is until we reconvene in Montgomery, Alabama once again as a GOVERNMENT OF OUR OWN!

THIS AIN'T OVER YET!

Confederately yours,
Pat Godwin

Land of the Setting Sun

Sunday was the first anniversary of the 9.0 earthquake off the east coast of Japan that produced the 45-foot-high tidal wave that hit Fukushima Prefecture.

Twenty thousand perished. Hundreds of thousands were driven from their homes when a nuclear plant swept by the tsunami exploded, spewing radiation for miles.

Only two of Japan’s 54 nuclear plants are now operating. The rest have shut down for inspections. Many may never start up again.

In loss of life, that earthquake-tsunami was seven times as lethal as 9/11. But recovery from that greatest disaster in decades is not the gravest problem facing Japan.

The gravest problem facing the Land of the Rising Sun is that it is dying. The sun that set on the Japanese Empire in 1945 has begun to set on the Japanese nation.

A week before the anniversary of 3/11, buried in a story about Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda’s effort to rally support for a doubling of the 5 percent consumption tax, to preserve Japan’s social security system, was this startling statement:

“We’re faced with an aging society and a declining birth rate unprecedented in the history of mankind.”

“Nippon seems to be collectively committing national hara-kiri.”

What makes this admission remarkable is that the Japanese are not given to hyperbole, and the prime minister’s statement is rooted in numbers that may fairly be called a demography of death.

Deep inside the story on the Noda tax proposal was this item: “By 2055, according to government data, 40 percent of the country’s population will be 65 or older. Just 8 percent will be younger than 15.”
