I was in the class of 76, we all carried a gun or knife. Hell if we sold enough magazine subscritions you could get a Browning 30-06, Sweet 16 or many other guns. Heck we even reloaded shotgun shells in our shop class for the Turkey Shoots put on in our town. What the hell has happened to America?

  2. I graduated highschool in 1964 and bought my first handgun, a .22 caliber revolver, at a SuperAmerica gas station. The guns were under a glass counter and the attendant pulled it out of the display counter and handed it to me after I paid him cash for the gun. No background check or clearence required to purchase, only age 18+. Society and culture are devolving and we'd better figure out the root cause. It sure as hell isn't guns, its the quality of people.

Absolutely. As a kid you could buy ammo without a question.
