Bogue Inlet Pier Opens Saturday March 17th

After a really mild winter (most of the time!), we are right on schedule with the rebuilding of the pier! ........... OPENING DAY will be SATURDAY, MARCH 17th, 2012 in conjunction with the EMERALD ISLE St. PATRICK'S DAY FESTIVAL! ....... I would like to thank all of our friends for the warm wishes and encouragement we have received, and wished that we had time to personally answer all of the mail received! ............ There have been a lot of questions about the new construction, and to sum it up, we have built a much more substantial structure than ever! ............. The TEE on the end will have a slightly larger configuration. If you can remember the old pier, we had the end with angles on each side. The new construction will be squared off which will allow for a much more organized and expanded SPANISH MACKEREL area on the sides! ............. Everyone wants to know if we are rebuilding the OBSERVATION DECK and the answer is YES! ......... The OB DECK will be exactly the same, so you will be able to enjoy the views just like before! ............ I can not describe the hard work and dedication that our construction team showed (and are still showing) through the winter months! ............ It's hard to believe that such hard work can be so much fun! .......... After we complete the end, there will be no rest around here! .......... The next project will be rebuilding the RESTAURANT! .......... Unfortunately, BUSHWACKER'S RESTAURANT is now closed. We will be renovating our restaurant area to include an open-air design with a more casual atmosphere catering to our FISHERMEN and BEACHGOERS! .......... So look for plenty more improvements here at BOGUE INLET PIER ............ We really appreciate all of you! ............. UPDATE SOON! ............. MIKE STANLEY
