  1. Thanks Brock! FYI, we had an immersion event circa Oct 1861 at Welbourne where we portrayed the Dulany household. I portrayed Julia Peters the enslaved housekeeper. The other women played sisters, aunts, cousins, nieces and neighbors of Col. Dulany. The two gentlemen, Mick Burgess on the right and Stephen Keller on the left portrayed Coldstream Guard officers on leave trying to make arrangement for a cotton shipment to run the blockade. They were fantastic with regards to their knowledge of English civilian and military culture and brought 3 bottles of Pimm's to our affair. We are reprising the event for the 150th anniversary of the battle of Unison, part of the battle was fought on Welbourne ground and we are doing it in conjunction as a fundraiser for the Mosby Heritage Area Association and the Unison Preservation Society. It will be Oct. 25-28th 2012. You should come up for it.

Impressive. I would love to come and we could finally meet after "knowing" each other for years!:) I'd get to see Nat and George after many years also. Additionally, we could visit my friend George Wiltshire at Mosby Springs who I believe I've told you about. The date is after our military reunion, so it may work. This summer besides the SDYC, Dixie comes out at the SCV National Convention, so we shall see concerning filthy lucre.:) When you have a link, please send.
