EDL leader given unexpected suspended sentence

Wonder why the fellow EDL member pressed charges for a head butt? Or maybe the police decided to involve themselves in a fight among boys?
========
Tommy Robinson, a.k.a. Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, is a leader of the English Defence League. Back in September he was convicted of assault for an incident that occurred during a demonstration in April of this year.

Today Tommy appeared in a Lancashire courtroom. He was given a suspended sentence, 150 hours of community service, and required to pay court costs. This was much lighter than we all had expected — I thought he would probably do jail time — so EDL supporters have reason to be relieved. Most encoraging of all is the fact that the judge refused the prosecution’s request to apply an ASBO (Anti-Social Behavior Order) to Tommy.

Another EDL leader, Kevin Carroll, was also in court today. I don’t know any details, but I hear from EDL sources that he was acquitted.

All in all, a good day for the English Defence League.

Here’s the story about Tommy from The Lancashire Telegraph:

More About Our Constitution

Thoughts Aloud
VERBATIM POST
=========

The following is an elaboration of a presentation I recently made at a local Tea Party meeting. My motivation is that the misunderstanding of our Constitution, indeed, of all aspects of our government, is not only appalling, it has become a threat to our very freedom.

As we well know, the most common misconception is that our government is a democracy. In the last week, I have heard at least 3 people make public statements to this effect, including two liberal pundits and one GOP Senator. I understand why the progressives push this idea… why a supposedly conservative Senator would do so is beyond me — unless he too is becoming brainwashed.

Obviously, we know better, as do those making such claims. The problem is that the intellectually-challenged citizens produced by our failed public education system don’t know better -and- given their crippled reasoning systems, most of them allow the media to do their thinking for them.

The problem is further exacerbated by the fact that, at a glance, democracy might seem a good thing. After all, what can be wrong with a situation where the people rule? It turns out, on closer examination, that there are some very significant problems. First, in a real democracy, there is nothing to protect the rights of minority groups from predation by the majority. Second, democracy lacks any semblance of stability. The majority can change the “rules” at any time, based on whims, emotional reactions and the like.

By contrast, a constitutional republic, which our founders intended us to be, is based on rules which provide protection for minorities as well as the stability required by a modern market-based economy, this last coming from the fact that laws established under our Constitution are intentionally difficult to change, requiring multiple levels of consideration and approval. In fact, not only did our founders NOT create a democracy, several of them rightly and openly referred to democracy as a form of “mob rule”.

However, despite this difficulty, our Constitution has been subjected to several ill-considered amendments, all of them coming soon after the advent of the progressive movement in America in the late 1800′s. I refer specifically to the 16th, 17th and 18th amendments which, between them, fundamentally altered the relationship between the American people and their government.

As we know, the 16th amendment allows an income tax, the 17th amendment provides for the direct election of Senators and the 18th amendment forbade the manufacture and sale of intoxicating beverages, with a minor exception for certain religious uses. We will look at each of these in more detail and explore how and why they helped change the relationship between citizen and government.

The 16th amendment, by allowing the federal government to tax citizen’s incomes, in effect reintroduced a form of slavery into the United States. By definition, slavery is a condition where a person or group of persons are forced to labor for the benefit of another. This means that, for those hours each of us must labor to earn the money required to pay our income taxes, we are effectively slaves of the federal government. This is especially true when the income taxes seized from one person are directly given to another (an act called “income redistribution”). The most dangerous notion introduced by the 16th amendment is that we work for the government rather than the government working for us. You may wonder why the American people would have allowed imposition of such an amendment. The answer is that they were assured that the income tax would only ever apply to the very richest among us. At the time of ratification, the income tax affected about 1% of Americans, the remainder having been convinced they were going to get something for nothing. Clearly, some things never change as similar arguments are being made today to raise taxes on “the rich”. Despite my modest income, every time we go through this, I soon find that I am among the “rich”!

The 17th amendment, in providing for the direct election of Senators, significantly (and intentionally) reduced the influence State legislatures have in the federal government. This had the obvious and intended effect of reducing the power of the States. As you might expect, the people were fed the line that they would gain influence in the operation of government with the ratification of this amendment.

The 18th amendment was the worst of the lot. From the initial ratification of our Constitution, up to the ratification of the 18th amendment, the purpose of our Constitution was to tell the federal government what it could and could not do. With ratification of the 18th amendment, suddenly our Constitution is being used by the federal government to tell the people what they could and could not do. It is hard to imagine a more effective way to pervert the very purpose and meaning of our Constitution. Even though the 21st amendment nullified the 18th, allowing a resumption of the manufacture and sale of intoxicating beverages, the PRECEDENT set by the 18th remains. Why the majority of Americans consented to the passage of the 18th amendment remains a mystery to me.

Another aspect of our Constitution goes unacknowledged, even by many who totally support its meaning and purpose. That aspect is that no body of law, such as our Constitution, is any better than the vigor with which it is enforced. No words written on parchment, paper or digital media are self enforcing. Without unrelenting vigilance, those whose power the Constitution seeks to limit, will invariably stretch the envelope of their power. If this condition continues over time, the Constitution will be rendered meaningless – a condition that virtually exists today in these United States.

The Constitution of the United States of America is our Constitution. This means that it is the responsibility of each of us to insist that it be followed, as written. When we the people fail to do this, it is not our Constitution that has failed us. Instead, we have failed our Constitution. And, the inevitable result of that failure is something none of us wishes to contemplate. Yet, contemplate it we must if this Republic is to have any chance of survival.

Think about it.

Memo Leaks Unmask Obama Deceptions

Mike Scruggs

The Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) in Washington has intercepted four leaked Department of Homeland Security (DHS) memos that are truly disturbing. Overall they indicate that President Obama has very little regard for the Constitution, Congress, or the American people but will do almost anything to accomplish his political and social agenda for the nation.

The first DHS memo dated February 26, 2010 was a staff paper outlining various options and strategies to grant millions of amnesties to illegal immigrants. One of the priorities was a quick registration program to make illegal immigrants holding American jobs legal. This is astonishing considering that 14 million Americans are officially unemployed and another 11 million have either given up finding a job or are part-time workers who cannot find a full time job. President Obama says jobs are a priority, but evidently not American jobs. His most concentrated effort is in making the eight million illegal immigrants in the American workforce legal.

This memo also contained this argument for administrative amnesties: It would “transform the political landscape by using administrative measures to sidestep the current state of Congressional gridlock and inertia.”

The term “deferred action” is used extensively in the memo to describe de facto amnesty. This is apparently going to be one of the new euphemisms for disguising amnesty in order to deceive the American public.

A June 2010 DHS memo on immigration stated that administration policy is “to reduce the threat of removal of certain individuals present in the United States without authorization.” The memo is essentially a strategy paper on how to bypass Congress and minimize the scrutiny of the American public in order to grant Presidential amnesties to millions of illegal immigrants.

A second and refining memo in June 2010 recommended “prosecutorial discretion” in enforcing U.S. immigration laws. In this memo, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director John Morton effectively ordered ICE field agents not to bother with enforcing U.S. immigration laws.

In August 2011, President Obama officially embraced the June 2011 memos as administration policy. This makes President Barack Obama directly responsible for intentionally minimizing the enforcement of U.S. immigration laws. His chief objective is to grant millions of administrative amnesties without Congressional support or approval. This is a serious violation of the Constitution that should demand Congressional rebuke and if necessary impeachment.

One of his political objectives has been fairly transparent to those who follow the tides of immigration issues in Congress. Most illegal immigrants in the United States are relatively unskilled and poorly educated. They also come predominantly from countries that are far more socialistic than the United States. Social studies indicate that their primary political interest is in strong social-welfare benefits. At a very minimum, amnestied illegals who become citizens could be expected to vote at least 75 percent Democrat.

All four memos cynically refer to the desirability of having an E-Verify program. But Obama’s purpose for E-Verify is not to prevent illegals from taking American jobs. It is to lend credibility to the impression that the Obama administration is enforcing immigration law, when it fact it is obstructing enforcement and preparing to pass out millions of amnesties under some other name. Obama’s version of E-Verify would also give “Safe Harbor” for employers while they waited for their illegal employees to be granted an almost immediate and indefinite “deferred action status”—de facto amnesty.

According to the public relations plan in the last of these memos, another euphemism for amnesty will be “administrative registration.” Administrative registration will simply register illegal immigrants and give them indefinite “deferred status—de facto amnesty. The next step would probably be quick citizenship and voter registration.

E-Verify is absolutely necessary to prevent illegal immigration and protect American jobs, but President Barack Obama wants to use it protect both illegal immigrants and their employers and to deceive the American people that U.S. immigration laws are being enforced and that no amnesties are being given.

Democrat Congressman Heath Shuler of the Eleventh North Carolina District is a sponsor of E-Verify legislation that has not yet seen the light of day. This may turn out to be the Trojan Horse that the President will use for his purposes. It would be safer and better to pass the E-Verify and Legal Workforce legislation sponsored by Republican Representative Lamar Smith of Texas. Smith’s bill should prevent the deceptive chicanery of de facto amnesty planned by President Obama and would be a serious step toward controlling immigration and protecting American jobs.

According to these memos, Obama’s political strategy is to introduce the Trojan Horse version of E-Verify in the late summer or early fall of 2012. This campaign effort will no doubt have the strong financial support of those who employ large numbers of illegal immigrants, and who are constantly lobbying for easy legalization of their workers.

Meanwhile the Obama administration is doing everything possible to obstruct the states of Arizona, Georgia, Alabama, and South Carolina from enforcing their tough new immigrations laws—laws made necessary by the President’s deliberate obstruction of American law.

An October 2011 memorandum entitled “Amnesty by Any Means” by CIS researcher Janice Kephart aptly describes the Obama administration’s devious and unlawful immigration policy:

“Current Obama administration immigration and enforcement standards are a purposeful subversion of the law in an effort to gain Latino voters; provide a “get out of jail free” card to many illegal immigrants in our criminal justice system; assure most of the illegal population work authorization with or without E-Verify; and sidestep Congress.”

Americans should not tolerate Barack Obama’s deceptions and unconstitutional tyranny. God help us, if we do not throw him and anyone who supports him out of office.

Civil War Veterans Come Alive in Audio and Video Recordings

Via Ann, Belle Grove

Deep in the collections of the Library of Congress are ghostly images and voices of Union and Confederate soldiers recalling the bloody battles of their youth

It is only a scrap of 86-year-old silent newsreel footage: an elderly black man named William Smallwood stands in threadbare clothes against a brick wall in Boston, performing the manual of arms with a wooden crutch. “Still ready if he’s needed,” declares a title card, presumably reflecting the old man’s sentiments. The clip is just one minute long. Smallwood provides no details of his life. Yet this bit of film is one of the rarest in existence. Not only does it capture one of the few moving images of an African-American Civil War veteran, but it may be the only one ever made of a soldier who fought with the famed 54th Massachusetts Regiment, made famous by the 1988 film Glory. (The clip inaccurately declares Smallwood to have been 109 years old at the time, proclaiming him the “oldest Civil War veteran”; he was actually about 85.)

Smallwood is just one of many Civil War veterans whose images may be seen and voices heard on reels of old film and audio recordings preserved in the collections of the Library of Congress. All are available to the public on request, although most are embedded in contemporary newsreels – for instance, a 1949 encampment of Confederate veterans in Arkansas is sandwiched disorientingly between a clip of President Harry Truman watching a staged airdrop of the 82nd Airborne Division and another clip of Don Newcombe hurling pitches to Joe DiMaggio in that year’s World Series.

To most of us, perhaps, the men who fought the Civil War may seem like the inhabitants of a sort of cinematic prehistory, quaintly memorialized in Currier & Ives prints, old newspaper engravings and the photographs of Mathew Brady. But here they are, like living ghosts in the flesh, the survivors of Bull Run and Antietam, Shiloh and Chickamauga, who saw Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses S. Grant and Robert E. Lee with their own eyes, and cheered their comrades into battle with these very voices that we now hear.

Republicans Aid Obama Transparency Effort With Subpoenas

House Republicans appear determined to help President Obama keep his promise to conduct the most open and transparent administration in history, even if they have to subpoena his subordinates every step of the way.

Two House panels this week are issuing the orders to force the administration to come clean on what it knew about the Solyndra bankruptcy scandal, and to disclose its list of 300,000 criminal illegal aliens it has refused to deport.

The House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday authorized a subpoena for the immigration documents at the Homeland Security Department (DHS) that chairman Lamar Smith (R.-Tex.) has been asking for since August.

“The administration is obviously not acting in good faith, and is wrongfully trying to keep crucial information from the American people,” Smith said. “They are on the verge of obstructing the legitimate role of Congress.”

Teenage girl dies after she’s burned alive by friends in ‘satanic ritual’

An 18-year-old South African woman was in a coma Monday after being doused in petrol and burned alive by friends in a Johannesburg park, in what police suspect was a satanic ritual. According to the police the girl set ablaze has died a week later.

Kirsty Theologo suffered burns over three quarters of her body, damaging her lungs and throat, when she was set alight in a park in southern Johannesburg, her sister Samantha told The Star newspaper.

A 16-year-old girl tried to put out the flames by rolling Theologo in the sand, burning herself in the process, the paper said. She was also hospitalised.

Samantha Theologo claimed the group ran away, telling South African media that her sister and the other girl had to walk two kilometres for help.

“I wasn’t home, but my mom told me she found my sister in the bathroom washing her face,” she was quoted as saying. “My mom said it was horrific.”

The Star cited a medical source as saying the girls were driven to hospital by their pastor.

While Kirsty was burning, one boy cut a third girl’s hand and held it over a Bible so that the blood could soak it, according to one of the girls who was in the group, the paper said.

Provincial police spokeswoman Captain Pinky Tsingane said the girls had been tied up and there was speculation the attack was a satanic ritual. Four black men aged 18-21 who took part in the incident turned themselves in on Sunday, the paper added.

"Fight Directly For Communism"

The Occupy Wall Street movement (effectively endorsed by the Democrat Party) has predictably combined with the cowardice, fecklessness, and collusion of liberal bureaucrats to result in all hell breaking loose in Oakland.

Occupy Oakland protesters claimed victory after they shut down one of the nation’s busiest shipping ports… In a five-hour stand-off protesters vandalised businesses and smashed bank windows, as they tried to shut down the city — and police appeared to respond using tear gas and flash bang grenades.

The California demonstrators blocked operations at the city’s port and stopped traffic on Wednesday in protests against economic inequality and police brutality, marred by scattered vandalism. …riot police arrested dozens of protesters who had marched through downtown to break into a vacant building, shattering windows, spraying graffiti and setting fires along the way. …

They blocked off city streets with dumpsters and other large rubbish bins, starting bonfires that leapt 15ft in the air.

According to city officials, the Occucommies threw “rocks, explosives, bottles, and flaming objects at responding officers. Several private and municipal buildings sustained heavy vandalism.” Other activities included arson.

Oakland has exposed the naked face of modern liberalism for all to see.

About Vietnam

The Vietnam war was the longest in our nation's history. Two American advisors were killed on July 8, 1959. Although 1959 is marked as the beginning of the war on Panel 1, East wall, The first American soldier killed in the Vietnam War was Air Force T-Sgt. Richard B. Fitzgibbon Jr. He is listed by the U.S. Department of Defense as having a casualty date of June 8, 1956. His name was added to the Wall on Memorial Day 1999. The last casualties in connection with the war occurred on May 15, 1975, during the Mayaquez incident. With the addition of six names in 2011 the total is now 58,272 names listed on the Memorial Wall.

Approximately 2.7 million Americans served in the war zone; 300,000 were wounded and approximately 75,000 permanently disabled.

Officially there are still 1,870 Americans unaccounted for from SE Asia. Approximately 1200 of these are listed as missing (MIA's, POW's, and others).

Vietnam was a savage, in your face war where death could and did strike from anywhere with absolutely no warning. The brave young men and women who fought that war paid an awful price of blood, pain and suffering. As it is said:

"ALL GAVE SOME ... SOME GAVE ALL"

The Vietnam war was not lost on the battlefield. No American force in ANY other conflict fought with more determination or sheer courage than the Vietnam Veteran. For the first time in our history America sent it's young men and women into a war run by inept politicians who had no grasp of military strategies and no moral will to win.

These young soldiers were led by "top brass" who were concerned mainly with furthering their own careers, "getting their tickets punched" just close enough to combat, to become a medal wearing hero. As the Late Col David Hackworth called them, "the perfumed Princes." Most of these officers neither understood the nature of the war nor had a clue about the impossible mission with which they had tasked their soldiers.

Even more importantly than our Government's mishandling of the war was the misreporting by the press. A self serving Media that penned stories filled with inaccuracies, deliberate omissions, biased presentations and blatant distorted interpretations. ( Television's Vietnam, The Impact of Media ) The Vietnam War became more about journalists (Walter Cronkite and Dan Rather) than about a war for the survival of liberal democracy in Southeast Asia. If only they loved their country's young and willing warriors as much as they loved their own children. The welfare of the troops and the TRUTH took a back seat to the press' sense of its own importance. Walter Cronkite and the other left wing journalists who were to swept up in their own danse macabre to even notice the murderous consequences of their own malfeasance -- or to hear the demands of simple decency. Even to this day some in the MSM have disregarded their responsibility to truth that comes with freedom of press.

We never lost a battle in Vietnam but we lost the war at home under color of the coward and liar. Thanks to John Kerry the "Opportunist" and Jane Fonda the "Communist"

Thirty years ago we watched a spectacle of John Kerry and the Winter Soldier bunch - composed of largely fraudulent "veterans" and overt traitors financed by Jane Fonda and Tom Hayden -- indelibly stain the honor of every legitimate Vietnam vet. Kerry's Senate testimony paved the way for a parasitic political career constructed on the heroism, sacrifice, and dedication of men and women whose reputations are tarnished to this day by his reprehensible behavior.

It was Kerry and Fonda and their fellow protestors who were directly responsible for creating the false image of Vietnam veterans as a "barbarian horde" which raped and murdered innocent civilians daily as a matter of policy.

It's that mythology, first popularized in the testimony of Lt. Kerry and repeated for more than three decades by the media and the popular culture, that continues to haunt our young men and women serving in the military today, propaganda that threatens current U.S. foreign policy and our national security.

"....Recent scholarship on the military aspects of the war argue persuasively that the military situation on the ground following the battles of 1968 made military victory in the south a possibility and this seems confirmed by the relatively peaceful years of 1970 and 1971. This poses the interesting question of whether it is possible to win a war, if no one believes it, do you really win the war?"

It can be debated that we should never have fought that war. It can also be argued that the young Americans who fought so courageously, never losing a single major battle, helped in a huge way to WIN THE COLD WAR.

This site is dedicated to those brave Vietnam Veterans, men and women, living and dead who did their duty to the fullest in war of attrition we were not ALLOWED to win. We never ran, never abandoned our wounded, never stopped loving America even when America abandoned us ... and still abandons our POW/MIA's. We, the Vietnam Veterans ... shall never forget!

Diversity Is Strength! It's Also The End Of Southern Civility… And The South

Via Rebellion

In the words of John Shelton Reed, "Atlanta represents what a quarter of a million Confederate soldiers died to .prevent."

Nonetheless, Severson has a point. One of the things that made the South “the South” were the manners, refinement, and civility impressed upon all of its citizens, black and white. Even if they were not consistently practiced, the ideal had a certain value in itself.

The South is the most distinctive of the American sub-nations and if every nation is a facet of God’s design, than surely Dixie has inherent worth. Literature, language, the military tradition, religion, and all the other aspects of the Southern culture are in some ways a reflection of the agrarian, traditionalist ideal reflected in the writing of Faulkner or the authors of I’ll Take My Stand.

However, the survival of any culture necessitates the value of certain ideals, customs, and loyalties above others, and so inherently contradicts the one world, egalitarian ideal of liberalism. Just as America is now nonsensically defined as a “nation of immigrants” so Southern culture must be deconstructed and explained away into nothingness.

Rothbard against War

Mises Daily
VERBATIM POST
========
by

The Essential Rothbard

Rothbard modified the famous dictum of Marx: he wished both to understand and change the world. He endeavored to apply the ideas he had developed in his theoretical work to current politics and to bring libertarian views to the attention of the general public. One issue for him stood foremost. Like Randolph Bourne, he maintained that "war is the health of the state"; he accordingly opposed an aggressive foreign policy.

His support for nonintervention in foreign policy led him to champion the Old Right. John T. Flynn, Garet Garrett, and other pre-World War II "isolationists" shared Rothbard's belief in the close connection between state power and bellicose foreign policy.

The situation was quite otherwise with postwar American conservatism. Although Rothbard was an early contributor to William Buckley's National Review, he rejected the aggressive pursuit of the Cold War advocated by Buckley and such members of his editorial staff as James Burnham and Frank S. Meyer. He broke with these self-styled conservatives and thereafter became one of their strongest opponents. For similar reasons, he condemned their neoconservative successors.

Rothbard made clear the basis of his opposition to National Review foreign policy in an essay, "For a New Isolationism," written in April 1959; the magazine did not publish it. To those who favored a policy of "liberation" directed against the Communist bloc, Rothbard raised a devastating objection:

In all the reams of material written by the Right in the last decade [1949–1959], there is never any precise spelling-out of what a policy of ultrafirmness or toughness really entails. Let us then fill in this gap by considering what I am sure is the toughest possible policy: an immediate ultimatum to Khrushchev and Co. to resign and disband the whole Communist regime; otherwise we drop the H-bomb on the Kremlin…. What is wrong with this policy? Simply that it would quickly precipitate an H-bomb, bacteriological, chemical, global war which would destroy the United States as well as Russia.[247]

To this dire picture, proponents of "rollback" would of course respond that the Communists would surrender: Rothbard dissents, for reasons that will be discussed in detail later. Suffice it to say here that he thought it obvious that since "the destruction of the United States would follow such an ultimatum, we must strongly oppose such a policy."[248]

If "liberation" leads to national suicide, what is the alternative? Rothbard suggests a return to "the ancient and traditional American policy of isolationism and neutrality." But is this not open to a fatal objection? "But, I [Rothbard] will hear from every side, everyone knows that isolationism is obsolete and dead, in this age of H-bombs, guided missiles, etc."[249] How can America shun involvement in European power politics if Russia has the ability to destroy us? No longer can we retreat to Fortress America.

To this Rothbard has a simple response: "a program of world disarmament up to the point where isolationism again becomes militarily practical."[250] If this policy were carried out, America would be safe from foreign attack: no longer would we need to involve ourselves in foreign quarrels. Mutual disarmament was in Russia's interest as well, so a disarmament agreement was entirely feasible.

Ever alert for objections, Rothbard anticipates that critics will charge that a Fortress America would have crushing military expenses and be cut off from world trade. Not at all, he responds:

this argument, never very sensible, is absurd today when we are groaning under the fantastic budgets imposed by our nuclear arms race. Certainly … our arms budget will be less than it is now…. The basis of all trade is benefit to both parties.[251]

Even if a hostile power controlled the rest of the world, why would it not be willing to trade with us? Unfortunately, Rothbard's arguments did not have any effect on his bellicose antagonists.

Sheriff Joe Demands to See Obama Birth Certificate Documentation

Now, we need more sheriffs to step forward.

Godfather Politics

VERBATIM POST

========

I lived in Arizona for many years and am well familiar with Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio. Maricopa County includes the greater Phoenix area and has a population of just over 4 million people.

Sheriff Arpaio is a no nonsense law enforcement leader that has been extremely tough on criminals and those in the jails. He gained national fame when a judge ordered him to release a number of prisoners because of overcrowding. Instead of releasing them, he erected a tent city on the jail grounds and moved a number of prisoners outside into the summer heat. He also removed many of the luxuries from the county jails such as cable TV and porn magazines. Needing to keep the prisoners active, he placed many of them on chain gangs cleaning up the roads, highways and parks in the county. At one point, it was reported that his department was spending more money per day to feed a guard dog than what it cost to feed a prisoner.

Sheriff Joe is also friends with retired Graham County (AZ) Sheriff Richard Mack who won a case in the US Supreme Court. The Court ruled that the county sheriff is the top legal authority in their county and even have jurisdiction over federal officers.

In order for anyone to be placed on an election ballot in Maricopa County, they must provide the proper documentation to prove that they meet the eligibility requirements, and that includes anyone running for the office of President of the United States. In other words, Sheriff Joe, the ultimate authority in the county has to be convinced beyond a reasonable doubt as to the authenticity of Obama’s birth status before his name will be placed on the 2012 ballot in this heavily populated county.

Not satisfied with the several different versions of Obama birth certificates released by the White House, Sheriff Joe launched an official investigation, run by his Cold Case Posse. Their task is to determine the eligibility of Barack Hussein Obama to run for the office of president. At this point in the investigation, the Posse has studied all three of the different birth certificates and they are not satisfied as to their authenticity.

Sheriff Joe is now demanding to see the original microfilm that is supposed to contain Obama’s original birth certificate. He contends that if Obama’s birth record is on the same roll of microfilm as other births that took place in the same hospital at the same time, and the age and authenticity of the microfilm can be verified, then this will end all of the controversy that has been flying around over the past three years. If the record is not there on the microfilm with the others, then this will verify that the other records released by the White House are forgeries and that he is not eligible to hold the office of president.

The next move is up to the White House and the State of Hawaii. If the President has nothing to hide, then you would expect him to readily open up the microfilm records to scrutiny and end the whole birther issue. But if he refuses to do so, as he has for the past 3 years, then one must wonder what he is trying to hide.

Evil Clowns and Radical Ringmasters of the Anti-Capitalist Revolution in Denver

What follows is a close look at the leftist lawfare campaign of uncivil agitation as it unfolded in Denver last week. Denver, like other cities that have Occupy manifestations, is faced by a core of protesters from anarchist groups, labor unions, and communist organizations, often obscuring their affiliations, mixed in with a mishmash of confused students, concerned citizen activists, children, and all sorts of evil clowns.

Lots of pictures HERE.

Protests have continued throughout the night in Oakland, California, as police clashed with demonstrators from the Occupy Wall Street group.

Police fired tear gas as a group within the protesters lit a fire and threw stones and bottles at officers.

The late-night clashes followed a day of action against "corporate greed", which saw a mass protest march in central Oakland.

Protesters shut down the city's port, one of the busiest in the US.

Around 30 people were reportedly arrested in the early hours of Thursday, and at least four protesters were brought to hospital.

Protests on Wednesday were largely peaceful until around midnight local time (07:00 GMT), when some of the protesters reportedly lit a barricade on fire.

Afterwards, police fired tear gas and "flash bang" grenades near the main plaza, where Occupy Wall Street protesters have been camping.

Wish the steer had gotten the cop. I remember the last time I saw Daddy in the fields, a bull was chasing him, but he made it over the top of the fence!:)
