U.S. admits that Mexican cartels get military weaponry from Central America

Here’s a breaking story that’s only reported by Central American media andFox.

The most fearsome weapons wielded by Mexico’s drug cartels enter the country from Central America, not the United States, according to U.S. diplomatic cables disseminated byWikiLeaks and published here Tuesday by La Jornada newspaper.

Inventory includes grenades and rocket launchers, necessary items for beating the Mexican army.

This corroborates an LA Times report from early 2009, which catalogued “hand grenades, grenade launchers, armor-piercing munitions and antitank rockets…”

The U.S. still blames American gun owners, by asserting that American guns “fuel” Mexico’s drug war. Even President Obama asserts: (Just like the rest of his BS) “More than 90 percent of the guns recovered in Mexico come from the United States.”

ID SERVE

During the last quarter of 2001 we saw an increase in eMail asking if there was any way to tell what server software any given web site was using. Presumably, these users were either curious, or they intended to use that information, if it were available, to help choose which sites they would prefer not to entrust with their confidential and personal data.

This information is readily available . . .
Although the make, model, and version of most web site's server software has always been available to client programs, it has never before been important or particularly interesting to most web site users. Recently, for at least some users, this appears to have changed. Since I have also sometimes wondered about the security and server software used by "off the beaten path" web sites, I decided to whip up "ID SERVE", a simple, free, small (26 kbytes), and fast, general purpose Internet server identification utility.

“The EPA is a rogue organization, It is totally out of control"

“Republicans and Democrats and America has to recognize that when you have got a $1.5 trillion deficit and you’re worried about cutting the budget by $60 or $70 billion, you’re a way from being serious about the issue.”

“There is sort of a mock show going on. We haven’t even talked about entitlements, we haven’t talked about the military budget, how many wars can American fight without declarations of war and so on . . . All of that together means America is non-sustainable. It must stop; it will stop."

Monument Dedication to 29th and 39th North Carolina - April 9

"39th North Carolina monument. North Carolina does not have a state monument so I selected this one from the few individual regiment monuments. It marks the furthest penetration of the LaFayette Road line on September 19. Lythe Hill is through the trees at the far end of the field."

The Georgia and North Carolina Division’s will be Holding a Joint Dedication of the New North Carolina Monument for the 29th and 39th Infantry Regiments at the Allatoona Pass Battlefield on Saturday April 9, at 11:00 am.

Directions: Take exit 283 off I-75 in Bartow County near Cartersville, Georgia. Upon Exiting head East on Old Allatoona Road and the Battlefield is on the Left.

We need uniform soldiers and period dress ladies help with the Dedication ceremony.

Please contact Tim Pilgrim at 404-456-3393 or timfpilfgrim@yahoo.com for details.

I need your help with the dedication ceremony, please forward the announcement on to your Camp 's list and see if can get a good attendance. We need ladies in the period dress and uniform soldiers to take part in the ceremony. Members and Division Officers of the North Carolina Division will be coming down many of them are re-enactors and they can participate as well. If any of your members are descendants of the soldiers of the NC 29 & 39 regiments let me know, I think it would be appropriate that they unveil the monument.

Here are my ideas for the ceremony. I believe Commander Bridwell will be able to make the event and the Director of the regional DNR (Department of National Resources) said he will be present to say a few words. I hope the Kennesaw Chapter UDC will be present to participate and say a few words. Maybe a couple of Cannons and firing squad. There will be SCV NC Division officers who can say a few words in honor of the event. Michael Hardy The historian of the NC Division who drafted the history of the regiments on back of the monument would be a great key note speaker to speak about the regiments. Just throwing those suggestions out there, let me know what you think.

Regards,
Timothy F. Pilgrim
Adjutant, Georgia Division

More Americans work for the government than in manufacturing, farming, fishing, forestry, mining and utilities combined

"If you want to understand better why so many states—from New York to Wisconsin to California—are teetering on the brink of bankruptcy, consider this depressing statistic: Today in America there are nearly twice as many people working for the government (22.5 million) than in all of manufacturing (11.5 million). This is an almost exact reversal of the situation in 1960, when there were 15 million workers in manufacturing and 8.7 million collecting a paycheck from the government.

It gets worse. More Americans work for the government than work in construction, farming, fishing, forestry, manufacturing, mining and utilities combined. We have moved decisively from a nation of makers to a nation of takers. Nearly half of the $2.2 trillion cost of state and local governments is the $1 trillion-a-year tab for pay and benefits of state and local employees. Is it any wonder that so many states and cities cannot pay their bills?"

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA), the Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform today announced the issuance of a subpoena to the Department of Justices' Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) for documents related to the highly controversial "Project Gunrunner."

"The unwillingness of this Administration – most specifically the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms – to answer questions about this deadly serious matter is deeply troubling," said Chairman Issa. "Allegations surrounding this program are serious and the ability of the Justice Department to conduct an impartial investigation is in question. Congressional oversight is necessary to get the truth about what is really happening."

Don’t forget your hijab, soldier! American servicewomen encouraged to wear headscarves in Afghanistan

Totally insane.
==================================================================

In an effort to get closer to the local population, American female soldiers stationed in Afghanistan are being encouraged to wear a Muslim headscarf when interacting with civilians. But some question whether the practice constitutes cultural sensitivity or a form of appeasement that is degrading to U.S. soldiers.

Major Kyndra Rotunda, executive director of the Military Law and Policy Institute and AMVETS Legal Clinic, told The Daily Caller that while the women are not being ordered to wear the head scarf, encouragement is tantamount to a demand.

2/3rds of US Corporations Pay Zero Federal Taxes

Bank of America hasn’t paid a nickel in federal income taxes for the past two years, and in fact raked in an additional $1 billion in tax “benefits.” The bank is enjoying these profits after accepting $45 billion from taxpayers, which the company then got to count as a deduction when they paid back the money.

Federal Auditor: Border Patrol Can Stop Illegal Entries Along Only 129 Miles of 1,954-Mile Mexican Border

Border fence
Nothing like an impenetrable fence!

Stana, director of homeland security and justice issues at the Government Accountability Office (which is responsible for “auditing agency operations to determine whether federal funds are being spent efficiently and effectively”), told the Senate Homeland Security Committee yesterday that the federal government can actually prevent or stop illegal entries into the United States along only 129 miles of the 1,954-mile-long U.S.-Mexico border.

That leaves 1,825 miles of the U.S.-Mexico border where the Border Patrol cannot prevent or stop an illegal entry.

"Public virtue cannot exist in a nation without private, and public virtue is the only foundation of republics. There must be a positive passion for the public good, the public interest, honour, power and glory, established in the minds of the people, or there can be no republican government, nor any real liberty: and this public passion must be superiour to all private passions."

Stop ATF's Anti-Gun Zealots

Second Amendment activist Mike Vanderboegh, who helped expose the ATF's emerging Project Gunrunner scandal (in which botched sting operations have allowed straw purchasers monitored by the feds to walk untold thousands of guns across the southern border), says Traver is known to be a "managerial bad apple in ATF circles." He rose through the agency hierarchy, "all the while making friends of notorious Illinois anti-firearm rights politicians of both parties. He has had personal friendly contact with Barack Obama and Hizzoner, the King of Chicago Richard Daley. He has worked with the virulently anti-firearm Joyce Foundation ... putting his efforts and his name to a report which calls for more firearm bans and regulations that amount to the gutting of the Second Amendment."
