The "Battle Hymn of the Republic" ought to be parodied, satirized, and lampooned. It has nothing to do with God or Christianity. It is not a Christian hymn. It does not belong in a Christian hymnbook. It should not be sung in any Christian church — Northern or Southern. It should not be on the lips of any Christian — Yankee or Southerner. It is partisan political paean to bogus history and faulty theology. For much too long Christians have sung this "hymn" with religious fervor while remaining in ignorance as to its history and theology. For much too long pastors and song leaders have included this "hymn" in church services without stopping to consider whether it is an appropriate song for a Christian worship service. Disparaging the singing of this song has nothing to do with being a Confederate sympathizer, or being unpatriotic or anti-Lincoln, but it has everything to do with exercising biblical discernment. Traditions are hard to break, and especially religious ones, but the singing of the "Battle Hymn of the Republic" is one that must go.
Sound Money vs. Fiat Money
Take your pick: An ounce of pure silver or a piece of paper worth as much as monopoly money?
As Chairman of the Southern National Congress, I’m encouraging SNC Delegates and all friends of freedom to make this issue and this Summit a top priority. South Carolina needs to fulfill its historic role as a champion of individual liberty and State sovereignty. A successful sound money effort in South Carolina will encourage the similar initiatives now unfolding in our sister States ...

The South Carolina Sound Money Committee invites everyone to the South Carolina Economic Summit the evening of February 7th at 5:30 pm EST. This summit is to educate both legislators and Patriots in preparation for the historic Joint House/Senate Hearing on Sound Money, February 8, 2011 at 4:00 pm EST. A special thanks for the courageous efforts of Senator David Thomas, Chairman Banking & Insurance Committee and Representative Mike Pitts for championing Sound Money in South Carolina. We hope other courageous legislators will join this great endeavor. Urge your elected representative, both house and senate to attend the Summit, and especially, the Joint House/Senate Hearing.
Come learn our best defense against the potential collapse of the monetary system. Enjoy dinner while hearing Dr. Edwin Vieira and Dr. Larry Parks, two of the world's leading Constitutional authorities, speak on Sound Money: Gold and Silver. These preeminent speakers have, for decades, studied, lectured and taught on the Constitutional authority of the State monetary policy, moreover how people gain and preserve wealth.
At this momentous cross road, we are offering a place in the history books. This Summit is an opportunity to educate yourself in preparation for these perilous times.

The Battle of Stalingrad
On this day in 1943, remaining forces of the German Wehrmacht surrendered to the Soviet army after being encircled in the city of Stalingrad. Of the surrendering 91,000 Germans, only about 5,000 ever returned.
ammunition identical to that carried by the Afghan police. The Taliban and the Afghan police carry the same types and calibers of weapons. And with police ammunition evidently leaking to the insurgency, ammunition for AK rifles, PK machine guns and rocket-propelled grenades would seem in abundant supply, helping to limit the use of the Lee-Enfield line."

So how will President Obama react to massive protests, riots, and revolt in the USA? Will he choose to shut down the Internet? He criticizes Mubarak, yet Obama is already asking Congress for the authority to do just that (without judicial review). Will Obama cut off access to Facebook and Twitter? Will he try to shut down talk radio and FOX News? Obama and his Democratic allies have already suggested doing that (before a true crisis) with “The Fairness Act.” Will Obama attempt to ban guns? He has already come out strongly in support of gun control or bans on numerous occasions before he was even elected President. Will Obama call in the military to contain the riots of unemployed, hungry, angry youth here in America’s biggest cities? Will he allow free speech — even if massive protests call for Obama to step down?
Is Obama taking notes in Egypt? He had better. Because Egypt’s crisis could eventually be coming to a city near you.Via Western Rifle Shooters Association
